Apparently, this was new drummer Jason Boesel's first show with the band.

[review]

The drummer's name was Jason something, it might be Boesel, Blake was kinda mumbling, or I wasn't paying attention or something, so I didn't catch all his name. Pretty nice set tonight, Started out with Science vs. Romance, did Pictures of Success somewhere in there and Chemical Stress and lotsa other new songs mixed in and (of course) Always. They played a song so new that it didn't have a name yet, I liked it, Hans wasn't sure and Chris, well, he's huge. I didn't think any of the other bands were close to beating out Rilo, but I thought Pedro was okay. Jenny's growing her hair out and Blake had sideburns and a cap on. New drummer: okay. Not Dave, but certaintly held his own.

[another review.. story, actually]

Hey everyone, sorry to be posting so late about
this but I must share my excitement. Well this past
Sat. I went to see Rilo Kiley at El Rey which was
amazing, well mr friend went to talk to Blake(the lead
guitar guy) and he ended up getting Blake's phone number
and an invite to be on the guest list for their show
the next day! So the next day we went to the
glasshouse all VIP with our wristbands, I first met Blake
and then later we went backstage and I met Jenny. We
all hung out and talked, it was so great! Before I
left Blake gave me a "Somebody in Rilo Kiley loves me"
pin! ahhhh, I can't wait to hang with them again!
whhooo hooo, ok love you all bye!
