Polar Bear / Banyan show review, The Gig, 9/5 from Danny...
Man that show lastnight was awsome! Anyone who hasn't seen Polar Bear live, has got to. I wasn't too crazy about the CD, but I loved them live. My fiance enyoyed the show as well. I'm sure I will appreciate the CD much more now.
Banyan, what can I say? They were a trip! It was just a big freestyle jam session. All those guys were just jam packed with talent. It was just amazing. There was also a guy to the left of Stephen, who was in a dress, painting on this big slick poster board. he was just painting away with his hands, and making cool designs with a squeegie. To the left of the mad painter dressed in drag, was a movie screen that showed clippings of what appeared to be African tribes and other types of tribes. It was an experience you just had to see for yourself.
