From Sarah--
The show started off with Up The Beach, but it took a long time for Perry to actually get out on stage, I was starting to wonder if something was wrong. When he did show up the crowd went wild, even though Dave, Flea, and Stephen had been on stage for quite some time. They were all wearing the same outfits as they did at the Halloween show, except that Perry had white plastic flowers wrapped around his spikes of hair. It was impossible to hear the vocals until they started Oceansize, and even then it wasn't easy. The crowd was wild, sometimes a little too much so, I noticed several people being pulled from the pit crying and struggling to breathe again. Perry talked to the audience, but his words were muffled and there was a general look of confusion on the part of the audience. You could hear the music really well the entire time, but Perry's vocals sounded strained, like he had a sore throat or something.
When it got time for Summertime Rolls the guards still hadn't decided how to get Perry to the stage in the middle of the floor. He just walked off the main stage and they followed. The same thing happened with the rest of the band when they were headed to the smaller stage, they walked half way down the hall with the bodyguards about ten feet behind them. The acoustic set was wonderful, especially Chip Away. Flea was dancing around, but it looked good, not overdone. They headed back to the main stage for Ted...Just Admit It and there was no encore. It took the crowd management about ten minutes to start tearing down baracades, making the possibility of an encore very slim. All in all it was a great show, but the organization was poor and the crowd got too violent.
