Tour recaps

Spring 2006 tour
typical headlining setlist:

Run Devil Run
The Big Guns
Happy
You Are What You Love
Melt Your Heart
The Charging Sky
untitled (new song)
Paradise
Rabbit Fur Coat
Rise Up With Fists!!
Jack Killed Mom (new song)
Born Secular
 (encore)
It Wasn't Me
Met Him On A Sunday (a cappella)
Cold Jordan

The setlist included all of Rabbit Fur Coat, with the exception of "Handle With Care". The b-side "Paradise" was added to the set, as were two new songs and two cover songs. "Untitled" was a quiet new one that includes the lyrics, "There will be no leaving tonight." "Jack Killed Mom", the other new one, was more of an up-tempo gospel-ish rocker, featuring Jenny on keys and a poem from Johnathan Rice. One cover was "Met Him On A Sunday", a song by 50s girl group The Shirelles, later covered by Laura Nyro in the 70s. This later version is the one Jenny fell in love with when she was young. Jenny and the twins sang it a cappella accompanied only by their clapping and snapping. The other cover was "Cold Jordan", also know as simply "Jordan", or split difference as "(Cold) Jordan", a traditional gospel song that the Grateful Dead used to play. On it, Johnathan Rice handled most of the vocals, with Jenny harmonizing.

Mike Bloom joined the band on additional guitar for some of the Southern California shows, filling in for Farmer Dave.

Fall 2006 tour
typical headlining setlist:

Long Black Dress (Run Devil Run)
The Big Guns
You Are What You Love
Melt Your Heart
The Charging Sky
Happy
Fernando (new song)
Rise Up With Fists!!
Carpet Bagger (new song)
Met Him On A Sunday (a cappella)
Jack Killed Mom
Born Secular
 (encore)
Rabbit Fur Coat
Acid Tongue (new song)
Handle With Care

Similar setlist to the spring 2006 tour, but without the "untitled" new song, "Paradise", "It Wasn't Me", or "Cold Jordan". Additions to the set included the new songs "Fernando", "Carpet Bagger", and "Acid Tongue". Also, "Handle With Care" was added. "Run Devil Run" was a kicked-up new version with additional lyrics and kinda renamed "Long Black Dress".
