[review]

The show was a lot of fun. M. Ward had a large group of fans who sang along and requested specific songs. I was very impressed and became a fan of his by the end of the night.

Rilo Kiley came on next and put on an excellent show. After, the band came out and chatted with fans, signed autographs (many of which will end up on ebay I'm afraid. One kid even said to Jenny, "I'm sorry, but this is going right on ebay) and posed for pictures. I doubt any of the pictures I took (or anyone took for that matter) will come out though. Much of the lighting came from common lightbulbs set up at the back of the stage with green siding in front of it to create a green effect. No real surprises during the show, unless you count info obtained by talking to the band after the show.

(Note: Some of this may not be news, but it was to me.)

Jenny said that they're playing with Belle and Sebastian at two outdoor festivals in California days after the listed tour ends. I think one of the dates she mentioned was August 24th. She also mentioned playing a Postal Service show or two around that time also.

Jenny also said that they'd likely be touring again in January or February, leading me to believe that the new album will be released around then. I forgot to ask Blake about the solo album.

I found all of the guys to be incredibly nice. I talked to all four at some point during the evening and they all seemed genuinely happy and excited that we had showed up. Jenny even told me to put my arm around her when I posed for a picture with her!
