[review]

i got in accident on the way there so i missed most of the statistics, but i did catch the end. i'd need to hear studio recordings before i pass any judgement.

m.ward rocked as usual, i just wish he played more. blazed through around 5 songs, seemed like he was in and out in 20 minutes. that dude rocks the six string HARD, i love seeing him live.

it was my first time seeing rilo kiley, but i expected no less from them. their entire set rocked. the third song they played was a new one and sounded absolutely amazing. blake said it's title was "buy m.ward's fucking cd". i can only hope someone has a live recording of it, something about a motel and an ambulance on the way. some other songs played: better son-daughter, my slumbering heart, august, spectacular views (blakes song), hail to whatever.., paints peeling, pictures of success, so long, the good that won't come out, with arms outstretched, bulletproof. the version of spectacular views they played was blakes solo, but they said they changed it up this tour and were playing the song as a full band, it worked and it worked good. i'm not much of a fan of some of the blake vocals on cd, but i really appreciated his sound live. one of the three songs played during the encore was from the up and coming album, which they said was being recorded in november with mikey mogis and is probably going to be titled "run devil run".

...rocking show.

Also of note: Matt Ward came out and played guitar during "Room 8."
