Psi Com demos
These long-lost demos are from a demo tape the band put together called
Worktape 1. They sold copies of the tape at shows back in the day, but
these tracks
somehow remained uncirculated for over 15 years until a fan named Jared got a hold of
them and was nice enough to share.

Here's some more info on
Worktape 1, submitted by Greg Earle:
"Worktape
1" came out in 1984, in a twin-fold hard cardboard case much like the
Independent Projects Records' Savage Republic releases. It contained a
promotional photo, a Psi Com sticker, a promotional blurb on aqua paper, and a
lyric sheet on splotchy pale green paper.
The tape has the same 3 tracks on both sides.
Here's the first paragraph of the lyric sheet:
"ABOUT WORKTAPE 1:

PRODUCED BY PSI COM AND OUR SUPERB FRIEND, TONY CAHILL. ENGINEERED BY
NIMBLE GLENN FEIT. INTENDED STRICTLY FOR USE AS A DEMO (WORK-TAPE).
BUT POPULAR DEMAND HAS NECESSITATED THIS SPECIAL CASSETTE RELEASE.
REPRODUCED ON NORMAL BIAS TAPE, NO DOLBY. NOT AVAILABLE IN STORES, SOLD
ONLY AT PSI COM EVENTS. MONEY FROM THE SALE OF THIS CASSETTE WILL BE USED
TO FINANCE PSI COM VINYL TO BE RECORDED EARLY 1985. THE CONTAGION CASSETTE
PAK WHICH ENCASES WORKTAPE 1 WAS CREATED BY RICH EVAC. SPECIAL THANKS TO A
PRODUCE FOR POST-PRODUCTION ASSSTANCE WITH THIS RELEASE."
(Rich Evac == original bassist; very Peter Hook-style booming bass sound)
(A. Produce == member of Savage Republic/I.P.R. collective, if I recall)
